The colors are an incredible backdrop in the fall. At the Richland County Visitor Center you can find Color Tours of the northern county area PDF and southern county area PDF mapped out for you, as well as 3 scenic route car trips PDF or take your own route. The Lower Wisconsin River Road Scenic Byway, WI Hwy 60, PDF follows the Wisconsin River for 100 miles from Lodi to Bridgeport/Prairie du Chien. It is a spectacular drive you will want to make throughout the year.

 

Historical Sites
Take the Historical and Architectural Heritage Tour of Richland Center. Richland County CourthouseThere are over 20 interesting sites for you to enjoy, with 11 different architectural styles. Take a self-guided tour with a map from the Visitor Center or set an appointment for a paid guided tour.

Richland County Courthouse in Richland Center was built in 1889 and features marble pillared portico and multi-gabled clock tower. The county seat is located in Richland Center.

A.D. German Warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and constructed in 1915. The impressive red brick structure is topped by a massive concrete frieze reminiscent of Mayan decorative elements. The warehouse is privately owned and not open to the public. The Visitor Center has more information.

 

Parks and Nature
Pier County ParkVisit the unique and natural beauty of Elephant Trunk Rock, Steamboat Rock, Natural Bridge in Pier County Park or the Effigy Mounds. Take a tour of a local winery, apple orchard or explore a cave. Honor veterans by stopping at the Veterans' Memorial or the Flag Park and paying your respects. Many maps and brochures can be found at the Visitor Center.
