Alice McCauley says she likes to make people
feel better… and the name of her business, “Pampered
Pleasures,” goes well with what she does. She went on to
say, “People, especially women, need to take time off…
time for themselves.” Alice provides the ideal place to
get the pampering and special attention that she feels
every woman needs and deserves.

When you walk into Pampered Pleasures your immediate
impression is just what the name implies; that this is a
place aimed at pampering you. The manicure table is
welcoming and well equipped to please any taste in nail
color and style. Alice's hand massages are very
relaxing, and the type of manicure changes with the
seasons: in the winter she uses heated mitts for a deep
heating manicure, and in the spring and summer she uses
a bubbly nail spa that penetrates more, cools, and
relaxes. Along with manicures, Alice does special
occasion nails and nail repair, using a very effective
treatment for nail growth and health.

With this being spring and warm weather upon us, we
start seeing more of everyone's feet; most of them in
need of a little extra care before putting on the
sandals. At Pampered Pleasures you’ll begin your
pedicure by sitting back and relaxing in a whirlpool spa
pedicure chair. As you soak your feet in the whirlpool
foot bath, you’ll lose yourself in the comfort and
relaxation of a back massage at the same time. Alice
offers a complete pedicure, including a callus reduction
procedure. She uses a hydrating treatment to soften the
feet while giving a soothing, relaxing foot massage. A
few days after enjoying one of her foot massages, Alice
has been told by several clients, “I don’t know what you
did, but my feet feel so-o-o good!” She attributes that
good feeling to the hydrating treatment, but it sounds
like Alice’s special touch has a lot to do with it too.

Alice graduated from the Scott Lewis School of
Cosmetology in LaCrosse and has been doing nail care for
five years. She and her husband, “Fuzz” McCauley, have
three sons; Nick, Mark and Luke.
Pampered Pleasures is located within Herbal Thymes.
While Alice focuses on natural nail care, Melinda Secaur,
owner of Herbal Thymes, focuses on natural herbal
remedies, vitamins, and nutrients. The two businesses
are a good fit, both in business and in philosophies.
