Daniel Miller is a general contractor who started Native
Wisconsin in 1981, offering residential, commercial, office and
retail design, consulting, and construction services. He
brought his company back to Richland Center in 1987, and
incorporated in 1991.
As a designer and general contactor, Daniel works exclusively on
his own designs
that is to say, he works with his clients ideas
to develop individual plans to suit their home lifestyle present
and future needs and/or business needs.
Each project is
developed to be site-specific; incorporating buildings with the
natural landscape or working with existing infrastructure
for restoration and remodeling. In addition to new home services,
Daniel specializes in kitchen design, barrier-free,
multi-functional, and architecturally sensitive additions. A
four bedroom home currently under construction features
wheelchair accessibility, along with super energy efficiency
construction, dual fuel market-choice heating, ten triple home
run cat and coax communications ports, and site specific design.
Daniel's latest delving into architectural trends is his
application of "Agri-chic," or as he calls it, 'Agri cheek,"
using
themes with comfortable to the eye "agricultural form
follows function values." Nearby Bohemian 4-square farm houses
still dominate the landscape in the surrounding area, while often
losing their barns and other older agricultural buildings.

A recently completed project is the Little Willow Creek one-room
school house, which was redesigned and remodeled as an artistic
rendition of a school childs fantasy. Daniel assists the owner
in renting the school for family functions and teacher birthday
parties, to name a few examples. This unique property is located on
County NN on West Willow Lane and may be seen upon request.
Daniel has restored, added on to, and carefully remolded a number
of historically significant homes in the Madison area and has
many references both there and locally. When first moving back
to the area he served as a member of the Board of Directors for
the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, and as chairperson of the
tourism committee he promoted canoeing on the Pine River and scenic
trails around the city and county. He currently serves on Richland Countys Economic Development Corporation board of
directors with an eye toward historic downtown Richland
Center's interests.

Daniels wife, Jodee Hosmanek, owns Ocooch Books & Libations,
which is located in downtown Richland Center in the historic Spiedel building,
which
they purchased and are restoring. Native Wisconsin Incorporated
is a general contractor, licensed with the Department of
Commerce, and used to dealing with inspections and codes that are
now coming to our county. As well as dealing with historic
district boards, committees and directors, he meets their requirements
and sensibilities while modernizing needed and/or creature
comfort infrastructure.
Native Wisconsin Inc. has been a member of the Richland Area Chamber
of Commerce since 1987... look for him in the Home Building &
Improvement Show again this year.
