Dean Winchell started Center Stove & Fireplace in 1991 as “The Country Sweep,” sweeping and repairing chimneys in Richland and surrounding counties. Over the last 13 years, Center Stove & Fireplace has grown into a complete source for fireplaces, stoves, chimneys, and all the surroundings that make the hearth a warm and functional part of the home. Dean now employs a staff of four, but continues to keep their business focus on providing the friendly advice and personal service that he started with. Most of them hold national certifications, and they all take serving their customers well very seriously, as they install and service stove and fireplace systems.

Center Stove and Fireplace installs a wide variety of stoves and fireplaces, from whole-home heaters to little stoves for the bedroom, and furnaces to great-room fireplaces. They also install new chimneys, liners, custom stonework, wood mantles, and fireplace surrounds…everything you need to create an enjoyable, beautiful and practical hearth in your home. Everything you will find at Center Stove & Fireplace has been hand-picked, tested, and evaluated to be completely safe, hardworking, and built to endure for many years.

After years of working out of Dean’s home, Center Stove & Fireplace made the move to provide a new retail presence in the fall of 2003. Their 1,400 square-foot showroom area is warm and inviting, and displays many stoves and fireplaces in a comfortable, home-like setting. They are open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturdays. The showroom is just off Highway 14 East, in the Starlight Square (turn at KFC). Warm colors, beautiful fireplaces, and helpful people make it an enjoyable place to go and consider a new stove or fireplace.
