Richland Center residents and families living in Richland County take comfort from knowing they have easy access to high quality medical care when needed.

Health CareThe Richland Hospital is a modern 38 bed acute care facility that together with the Richland Medical Center, the Spring Green Medical Center in Spring Green and the Muscoda Health Center in Muscoda serve the healthcare needs of residents in Richland and surrounding counties. The hospital has an active medical staff of 19 physicians in addition to a compliment of consulting physicians.

Richland Area Health CareThe Richland Hospital, Inc. is located on the Northeast side of Richland Center, four blocks from downtown. The hospital offers a wide range of services, such as CT-scans, MRI, mammography, diagnostic testing, general, laparoscopic, and orthopedic surgery, critical care, pulmonology, cardiology, echocardiograms, podiatry, chemotherapy, occupational-physical-recreational-respiratory therapies, birthing center, 24-hour emergency room services, plus many others. Outreach programs include home monitoring, cardiac rehabilitation, Lamaze childbirth, as well as sibling, parenting, safe sitter and diabetes education classes. The hospital also provides a full range of services through its Home Health Agency, offering skilled nursing to personal care plus rehabilitation services. In addition, the hospital operates a Children’s Learning Center that provides childcare services to its employees and Richland area residents.

The Richland Hospital recently completed a 22 million-dollar major building project that will provide a state-of-the-art facility for the Richland Hospital and the Richland Medical Center at one location. The completed structure nearly tripled the size of the former hospital building.

The Richland Medical Center in Richland Center offers complete family health care. It has 19 physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners and physician assistants on staff. The center’s medical services include family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, family-oriented obstetrics, laboratory, radiology, obstetrics/gynecology, dermatology, orthopedics, pediatrics, ophthalmology and otolaryngology. The facilities in Muscoda and Spring Green are similar, specializing in family health.

Richland County Community Programs provide mental health services, alcohol and drug abuse counseling, crisis intervention, and services for the developmentally disabled.

Health CareThere are several excellent assisted living centers in Richland County. Some offer short- and long-term skilled nursing care and some facilities provide retirement living.

  • Schmitt Woodland Hills on Richland Center’s west side - assisted living and retirement.

  • Pine Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center located just south of town - assisted living and retirement.

  • Harvest Guest Home - Jaydee Elder Care on the west side overlooking the Pine River - assisted living and retirement.

  • A new residential care center, Our House, opened in 2005 in the downtown area - assisted living and retirement.

  • The Park Apartments and Ridgeview Commons are two complexes that provide comfortable retirement living for seniors.
