Pine River Recreation Trail

Pine River Recreation Trail presents an unusual assortment of ecosystems, including lowland hardwood forests, cattail marshes, tamarack bogs, prairies and jack pine barrens. The trail traces the course of the meandering Pine River from Richland Center south.

	In Richland Center, the trail begins on the east side of the Pine River on the South side of Hwy 14 West, directly across from Krouskop Park where parking is available.
	The 15.8 mile-long trail is generally flat, constructed of well-compacted crushed limestone in the county and asphalt in the City of Richland Center. 15 bridges along the route span lengths of 16 feet to 241 feet.
^{! ! ! ! ! !} Trail In Gotham, the town park is one block south of the trail and Hwy 60 on Fulton Street.
In Lone Rock, go west on Commercial Street off of Hwy 130 to the trail (bike route signs show on-street routes to a nearby town park which can also be used as a jumping off point.)

The Pine River Recreation Trail is located in an abandoned railroad right of way as it heads south from the City of Richland Center. In town the trail is located on the top of the dike along the east side of the Pine River.

The trail is for hiking, biking, and snowmobiling. No other motorized vehicles are allowed. This is a “carry-on, carry-off” trail, and we invite you to enjoy picnic tables located along the trail to rest, relax, and picnic.

No fee for using the trail and no permit is required
